Fixed Service Structure
09/11/04 - The whole FSS. Still needs a few things to complete but i'm just about done with it. Have to do the railings and the floor bracing and the rest of the level braces, the piping, cameras. Ohhh the list never ends. Next I'll move on to the RSS. I'm really looking forward to that one.

Hammerhead Crane
09/19/04 - I had to redo some of the features of the hammerhead crane. When I first made it i made the bottom solid. It is actually a girder structure except for the catwalk area which is actually steel grate.

Mobile Launch Platform
09/29/04 - This is the original SRB Flame Hole in the MLP. I did a really bad job on the original holes so I started to redo them. THe next set of photos will show the progress on the new holes. Besides the bottom only being half cut, the styrene was a little to thin to support the weight of the Shuttle stack. Also the SRB overpressure water pipes were not up to specs. Forgot the downpipe that goes to the tank plus i didnt make it 36". And the SRB posts are in the wrong shape and dont extend all the way down the flame hole. I think it will look a lot better this time. I also need to do the Water blankets the go over the SRB holes.

09/29/04 - Here is the second one before firring the plastic. You can see the wood inner support structure i had to use to make the thing sturdy.
Mobile Launch Platform
09/29/04 - From the bottom the flame hole completed. Just need to add the details to it. I had to make that bottom plate due to the fact i'd never cur the bottom of the MLP to match the top hole.
Mobile Launch Platform
09/29/04 - The Bottom unfinished. I originally used Acrylic sheet for the bottom...You can see it glued to the wood structure. I overlayed it with 1/8" styrene to do the raised (or sunken) part of the bottom of the MLP.
SRB Holddown Mounts
09/30/04 - Here is the first SRB Holddown Mount. These are inside the Flame Hole for the SRB. On top of these will go the SRB conical holddown posts.
