Here are some pictures of the detailed construction for the month of October 2004.

10/12/04 - Here is one of the water bags for the Flame Hole. The real ones are made of a plastic fabric but that was to hard to do at this scale.

10/12/04 - Here are the SRB holddown posts. One problem i created is the downpipes are a little close to the SRB skirt but i'll have to live with it. Don't feel like doing it all over again.

10/18/04 - A test fit of the whole complex....need to do some work on the RSS now that I completed the FSS. Its getting tough to work on. Everytime I move something i break somethig else. I have also started the platform for this whole thing. I originally wanted to make it the whole pad but the scale is to large it would be like 8 feet wide. So I think I am just going to have to settle for a small platform do a partial flame pit. making the flame pit to scale will have it at about 8" high. I'll have to see how it looks. Oh well the problems of a modeler.
